Imaging The Time

I was just imagining something, and I would like to take you on a thought journey with me. Come on. It won't take up too much of your time.  I just want you to just imagine: Imagine that you were given $86,400 a day, every day, for the   rest of your life. Suppose you could receive that amount every day…but with a catch. You have to SPEND it every day. Do you think you could do it?  I can almost hear you say "YEAH BABY !!!  We could probably have some GREAT fun trying!  Just imagine.
God gives you 24 hours every day. That’s 1440 minutes a day. Or 86,400 seconds…every day of your life. He makes that deposit in your life daily. But there is a catch: You have to SPEND it…all of it…every day. And guess what? You do…  Just imagine.
Time, it is our most precious commodity. Wouldn’t you like to be able to buy back a day…or a week…or better yet a whole year? The Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 5, admonishes us to “be careful how we walk…redeeming the time.(Vs 15- 16)NKJV”. The word redeeming carries the implication of “buying up for oneself”, just like Christ has “redeemed” us. It means to consider “time” so precious that we are never wasteful of a moment. This word "redeeming" comes from the greek word Kairos.
Check this out: I am not talking about staying busy like a chronological stop watch.  I am talking about being deliberate about time usage. When you have seeds to plant in the soil and leave them sitting in a package, they will just be seeds as the stop watch of time keeps moving rapidly forward. But, if at the right time of the year and in the right soil, you plant them and nurture them... adding water and light appropriately timed... you will multiply them thousands of times and produce food for life. The former the greek language calls Chronos time.  The Latter the greek calls Kairos time. One produces nothing but time usage. The other produces far more than can be imagined.
Just imagine, for a moment, where does your time go? Show me where you spend your time, and I will show you where your heart is. Golf? T.V.? Emails? Texting? Facebook? Twittering? Surfing the web? Poetry? Writing? Reading?  Playing games? (Wii or otherwise)  Are the “things” in your life taking up time that impact (for good or ill) relationships? A relationship with your husband or wife or significant other.  Time with your kids? With friends?
Imagine a timed relationship that is far more important: How about the intimate time growing your relationship with God? Not for study. Not to prepare for teaching a class. But simply because you need to be in His presence, ONE on One. His heart to your heart to Hunger and Thirst for Him.

YUP! It might be a good idea for us to Just Imagine how we might Kairos our time: Why? Because time keeps on moving into the future, like it or not.  What we do with it is up to us. The impact on life and the lives of others can be immeasurable as we surf the web of life... or not :o)

Just imagine indeed :o)
Only you can prevent time from getting away from you.

“Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for Righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:6

Go Be Blessed 2-day ... Especially 2-day.
For The Time Of This Present, Is God's Gift 2 U.
