The Ought Of Doing Love

This is how we know what love is:
Jesus, who is The Messiah, laid down His Life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
1 John 3:16

One thing that thrills we who are Christ Followers is to hear John 3:16 talking about how God  loves us: It's great to know that He gave His only biological Son (We are adopted Children), that if we simply believe in Him, we will never perish, but we will have eternal life (Share in God's life forever.)  Yes we are indeed blessed.  No hell for us.  Death's stinger is taken out and sin is conquered.  Body may be in the grave for a while, but we don't die.  We are absent from the body and present with the Lord, once our time on earth comes to an end.  Yup.  We do not perish.  We share in God's life forever.  We are REALLY blessed.

Today, however, we look at another 3:16 of John.  It is one where we are not only blessed, but we are given instruction to be a blessing... So we are blessed to be a blessing.  How?  By demonstrating love to our brothers and sisters.  By laying down our lives for them.

So here is our challenge today:  How are we going give our lives for our brothers and sisters.  I bet if we take time out to think about how we can think about doing this, that we can come up with an answer or two.  Start thinking Saint.   And .....

Be Blessed 2-day ... Especially 2-day... By Being A Blessing To Some Other Saint.
