WHEN WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH

The Psalmist once wrote the following words from the deep part of his heart:

"Trust in HIM at all times you people; pour out your heart before HIM; God is a refuge for us."

It seems that when He wrote this Psalm (62:5), he knew a very important secret about language.  Sometimes language is a frustrating tool.  You know what I mean.  Don't you.  When we want to express the deepest thoughts of our hearts, words simply fail us. Paul believed the same way when he said in Romans 8:26 "Sometimes we do not know how to pray as we had ought, but the Spirit helps us..."

I am so glad God does not speak any language other than heart language. No matter who we are or where we are from, the mind and compassion of God are NOT bound by our ability to express ourselves in oral or written form.  God knows and empathizes with that part of us that is so deep that words are inadequate to express it; therefore, when we come before God, finally able to admit what has gone wrong in our lives, we do not need to feel tongue-tied or embarrassed by the depth of emotion we may surprising suddenly feel.  God can hear cries too deep for words alone. This ONE whom the scriptures describe as "a man of sorrows acquainted with grief" understands the sorrow, pain and even regret that cannot be fully expressed in words.  When we pour out our hearts before God, He honors our sincerity, accepts our confession, and bends to comfort us in our pain. He is a friend we can trust with the deepest secrets of our lives.

Why not practice some "heart talk" with God today.  I know you will be glad you did... even if you don't quite grasp what may be going on in your head.

Be Blessed 2day... Especially 2day.
In Christ
